mental radio

A tool for exploring extrasensory perception

Interactive installation by Ulrika Sparre (2007). Produced at the Interactive Institute with Sparre as Artist in Residence. Programming and interface design by Fredrik Bridell.

Mental Radio contains an archive of drawings. The viewer is invited to try to guess the current drawing, hidden from view, and try to make a similar drawing.

  Jeff Milner put together alleged backmaskings (songs that should be played backwards to reveal their satanic content...) so you can hear them forwards and backwards. Brilliant.
- Talking dogs @ YouTube
  Great fun. These dogs really do know how to talk.
- Amazon Mechanical Turk
  This is odd. Using a special API you write a piece of software that you want people to use to perform a simple task - and you pay them a few cents to do it. Or, go there and earn a few cents doing something.
- Etched in Time
  George Vlosich III is one of the few people in the world who are really good at using an etch-a-sketch.
